Natural Resource Partners L.P. Acquires Oil and Gas Mineral Acreage In Mississippian Lime Oil Play


HOUSTON, May 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --Natural Resource Partners L.P.(NYSE:NRP) today reported that it has now acquired a total of approximately 19,200 net mineral acres in the Mississippian Lime oil play in North Central Oklahoma for approximately $64 million. These holdings, acquired in a series of separate acquisitions over a period from December 2011 to date, are currently leased to several oil and gas operating companies that are actively developing the acreage with horizontal drilling.
